The atmosphere when you enter the Britannia Restaurant is the first sign that you are in for an unforgettable dining experience. Just as the décor was selected to enhance your experience, the menu has been carefully built around fresh seafood and prime cuts of local meat. The international/fusion style is a great reflection of the cuisine in New Zealand.
As you walk into the restaurant, you will think you are stepping aboard an old English ship. The charming décor features rope anchors and faux teak for an air of authenticity. The restaurant holds up to 85 people in the winter while the sunny Queenstown summers allow an outdoor balcony to open up and seat another twenty guests. Private parties of up to 38 people can be accommodated in the banquet room.
The menu is well suited to the nautical theme. What better place to try some of New Zealand's famed seafood dishes? Crayfish, green-lipped mussels, smoked southland salmon and fresh oysters are all on the menu. Can't decide? The admiral's platter (for sharing between two people) includes crayfish, fish, calamari, mussels and prawns.
Group bookings, conferences, weddings, board meetings, tours are all welcome.
Opening Hours: Dinner - Monday - Sunday: 6pm - Late / Lunch - Luncheon is by arrangement.
