Saffron Restaurant - Queenstown
Saffron Restaurant is a renowned restaurant situated in Buckingham Street in the historic former gold mining town of Arrowtown.
The restaurant is part of a collection of establishments run by owner-chef, Peter Gawron which includes The Blue Door wine bar, opposite and the pizza restaurant, Pesto, further along.
Saffron's entrees include 'Oysters Sliders', with tartar sauce & crisp Lettuce, a salad of crisp fried Pork with chargrilled squid, asian greens and a yellow soy bean dressing, and seared scallops with Iberico prosciutto and rocket leaves. The 'mains' features Grilled Stewart Island Blue Cod with Vietnamese rolls of crisp fried soft shell crab, a trio of curries, confit of duck and a confit of pork belly with a cider & vanilla jus.
The atmospheric and spacious restaurant also includes a small outdoor dining area at the front of the restaurant, an ideal spot for watching the world go by in the prettiest of towns.
Monday to Sunday: Lunch - 12.00pm - 3.00pm / Dinner - 6.00pm - Late.
